RIYADH — After the successful Greatest Royal Rumble event in its history back in April, the World Wrestling Entertainment returned to Saudi Arabia Friday Nov. 2, for another mega event titled as Crown Jewel, which took place at King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh.
Crown Jewel was the second live event as part of WWE’s 10-year contract with Saudi Arabia’s General Sport Authority.
The event hosted the first-ever WWE World Cup Tournament—to determine “the best in the world.”
The Saudi fans also witnessed the in-ring return of WWE’s Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels, who retired back in 2010, as well as the return of Hulk Hogan, who had not appeared on television since 2015.
Other WWE superstars such as AJ Styles, Brock Lesnar and Triple H brawled and snarled in the ring, sending a roar rippling through King Saud University stadium packed with thousands of fans.
Massive events like WWE require a professional end-to-end coverage process, Alamiya as one of the top far-reaching media houses, supported the production of the Crown Jewel.
Alamiya provided three SNG HD vans; SNG 1, SNG 2 and SNG 3 as well as a Dji Inspired 4K Drone and a SkyCam—to deliver a high quality live coverage for regional and international broadcasters.
It made the event available for millions of viewers around the globe through MBC Action, OSN Sports Action, Abu Dhabi Sports, KSA Sports, Dawri Plus, Bahrain Sports, Iraq Sports, Fox Sports (Latin America), Sony Ten (India), Super Sport (Africa), Rogers (Canada) and many more.
