Canon and Alamiya Sign High-Tech Agreement at NAB Show

LAS VEGAS—As part of its technological advancement plans, Alamiya announced Wednesday, Apr. 10, its massive high-tech. deal with Canon, one of the global market leaders in camera manufacturing, at the annual National Association of Broadcasters.

With this deal Alamiya will bring-in the first stock of the advanced 4K UHD Portable Zoom Lenses to Middle East and North Africa.

Alamiya upgraded its lenses resolution to the 4K UHD resolution to give their broadcasters and business clients even more depth and smoother edges in their media coverages.

The 4K resolution isn’t the only focus for such an in bulk purchase; there is a shift toward color vividness in the market and with the wide color gamut (WCG), the images and videos taken will encompass a wider range of color values.

The deal also included obtaining High Dynamic Range lenses that are essential in live videography to truly highlight the contrast between the darkest and brightest spots in a scene and give an element of reality to viewers.

Along with the wide-angle range extender and rapid servo lens drive speed, the footages taken by Alamiya will steer clear from vibrations and process at a higher speed to assure optimal live coverages during sports events specifically.

Alamiya sought Canon and GLOCOM for their expertise in lenses optical performance and still maintaining portable, compact and lightweight designs.
