RIYADH—In the attendance of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the National Festival of Heritage and Culture “Janadriyah 33” was held Thursday Dec. 20 in Riyadh, in which a number of princes and sheikhs from the Gulf counties attended.
The annual three-week event was co-organized and covered by Alamiya which began as usual with the biggest camel race of the year, followed by Operetta show, in which the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia Agus Abu Jibril attended.
This year’s honor guest was the Republic of Indonesia, a tradition that the kingdom has been following since last decade to strengthen cultural relations with a number of Arab and foreign countries.
This year’s Operetta show slogan was written by the poet Fahad Aafat, composed by the famous Saudi musician Dr. Talal, and sang by Mohammed Abdu and Rashed Al Majid, in addition to Mazal Farhan who performed the Saudi folklore dance “Ardha”.
Alamiya also narrated the history of the national heritage of Saudi Arabia in different historical periods through an interesting visual presentation, which began with the first Saudi state followed by the second and ended with the current era.
The Operetta show also included a variety of thrilling visual effects such as the fire-on-water show, the camel and the Arabian horse exhibition and the iconic Hologram show—which thrilled the audience.
The hologram show included an interesting segment, in which the most important achievements of the Saudi kings were presented—ranging from the founder to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
As for the coverage process, Alamiya provided all the necessary equipment and services that the event may require, it appointed a crew of more than 600 units along with different types of broadcast vehicles, cameras, and tools to ensure a professional end-to-end coverage.
The services included translation of three different languages for 500 guests—as well as three SNG HD vans, two fully equipped OB Trucks, SkyCams, SteadyCams and many other professional equipment.
